August 2022 Update

Greetings and salutations, avid readers of Norseman Creative! I wanted to drop all of you a quick update and let you know what is going on with the blog and life in general. There have been a lot of life updates, and I haven’t quite gotten a handle on the writing, editing, and posting schedule as of late, but I am working on it.

At the end of July, I moved on from my assignment at Hanscom AFB to take on a new role as an Associate Professor of Aerospace Studies (APAS) for Air Force ROTC Detachment 175 at University of Hawaii in Manoa. This is a dream assignment for me, and in probably the best possible location for both me and Jenny. The move out to Oahu has gone relatively smoothly, with only a few small hiccups. Our dogs, Calvin and Zander, only had to stay in quarantine for a few days, which was probably the biggest stressor of moving out here. Jenny also got a dream assignment out here, so its all coming up Jacobson(-Aroune).

If there is a downside to living in Hawaii (aside from traffic), it is that the time zone puts me six hours behind my most recent posting schedule. Since I like to post things for you fine folk to read over your lunch break, I would have to be posting around 0600 to continue that trend. Not saying its not going to continue, its just part of the reason the last two articles of Round 3 have been so delayed.

I have written most of the last two articles of the Round 3 series, they just need to be edited and I need to figure out when I want to publish them. Actually, what would be more accurate to say is that I have written around a dozen different versions of the last two articles, hated each and every one of them, and started over a dozen different times. Wrapping up the series is something I want to get right, and I am very much willing to make you wait in order to achieve that.

Once I finish the Round 3 series, I will have to look at what happens to the blog. In the past, I wrote a lot about guns, hunting, and travel. Perhaps I will return to that. Perhaps the blog will fall by the wayside as I work on completing the Dhofar Redemption and other future novels.

Fear not, dedicated reader, more content is coming! In the meantime, wish me luck as Jenny and I re-paint our entire house.
