April Twenty Double Deuce Update

Greetings, Fair Reader! A quick update for you this spring. Think of it like spring cleaning, except all you have to do is read. And really, you don’t even have to do that if you don’t want to.

I sent the third or fourth (I lost track) version of the Frozen Reaction sequel off to A15 Publishing for their consideration. It is tentatively titled “Retrograde Reaction,” and occurs during the chaotic closing days of the fiasco that was the Afghanistan War. Hopefully, A15 decides they want to take a gamble and pick up yet another Spencer Jacobson title. If not, I will have to look into other options, like Amazon’s Kindle Direct, or schlepping the book around to find an agent and a different publisher. Whatever the path, the book will see the light of day and hopefully soon.

One way you can help this particular author get his second novel picked up, edited, and out on the street is to support my previous writing endeavors. Publishers use the metrics from previous books to determine whether or not a second book is worth it. The metrics include sales, reviews, media hype (lol), and whatever else gives them a warm fuzzy a particular book will sell well. Frozen Reaction is available in my Shop, on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or wherever else you get your books. I would love it if you went to your small, local book store and purchased a copy through there. It is carried through Ingram, so most bookstores are able to order copies of Frozen Reaction. If you do buy a copy, leaving a review on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Goodreads is a good way to spread the word, and I appreciate any and all feedback to improve my writing.

For those of you who have already purchased a copy of Frozen Reaction, I cannot express my gratitude enough. Your support means everything to me, and I am extremely appreciative of it. Tell your friends about my book, so that they might buy a copy and therefore receive some of that sweet, sweet appreciation. Put Frozen Reaction in your small talk rotation. You can skip weather and jump right to the your favorite terrorism thriller set in small town Minnesota that happens to be pretty highly rated on Amazon!

Of course, copies of my children’s books are available in the shop, as well as on Amazon. They are both delightful, and the purchase of one of those books comes with just as much appreciation as copies of Frozen Reaction.

Now that the sequel to Frozen Reaction has been handwritten, typed, edited, edited again, and sent off for more editing, I can re-focus my efforts on some of the other writing projects I had in the queue prior to Retrograde Reaction invading my brain and refusing to leave until it was on paper. More to come on those in the future.

The Round 3 series have been pretty popular, which is fun to see. I will continue posting those until I have run out of content. There are several written up and in the hopper, ready to be fired out in the world, with several more conceptualized and waiting to be written. I have enjoyed the feedback from folks, and hope to keep entertaining and informing with those articles for awhile yet. At some point they will have to stop because they will get a little redundant, but until then I will keep pushing them out as they are ready.

Thanks for reading this far, and I hope to entertain you well into the future with more shenanigans, tomfoolery, etc.

Cheers,
Spencer
