This blog, like many great things, started out as an idea I had in the shower one morning. “Hey,” I said to myself because I currently live alone and I am also pretty fun to talk to, “You’re a pretty smart guy, with pretty smart ideas, why don’t you write them down?” I then laughed at myself and procrastinated for several months while I hashed out what I would write about. I couldn’t just write anything I thought of, as that could get quite crude. So I narrowed my focus. What am I good at? What am I passionate about? Two things bubbled to the surface of my mind: Reading, and Firearms.
I, like many people, am a voracious reader. I have been reading from a young age, and have been shooting for just about as long. I’ve read a variety of books, and I have shot a variety of firearms. In my mind, it seems to fit. So I shall write about them both. Perhaps they will inhabit the same posts peacefully, or perhaps one will draw too much from the other, and I will have to separate the two subjects so as to best present the topics at hand. We shall see.
There is one more reason for starting this blog. I want to work on my writing skills. I could think of no better way to get instant feedback than to put several pieces of writing on the internet and wait for comments. I’m sure that not all of the comments will be positive, and I am sure many of them will not be constructive, but the internet is a safe place, right guys?
So, I hope you enjoy my ramblings and observations.
Endings are hard,

Its good to finally find a blog written by someone who isn’t a self absorbed teenage girl or narcissistic attorney and instead has their priorities in order. Look forward to reading.
